Triple J Sound and Music College traces its roots to the vibrant music and film industry of Tanzania, which has emerged as a significant contributor to cultural identity, employment, and income generation in the country. Recognizing the potential and challenges within this dynamic industry, the college was established in 2015 with a vision to empower the youth and aspiring artists.
Our journey began as an institution dedicated to addressing the industry’s pressing issues, including limited access to finance, the need for modern technology, and the aspiration to compete on the global stage. Founded as a private educational and training institution, Triple J Sound and Music College has been a subsidiary of Triple J Records, a music studio with a legacy dating back to 2006.
Today, we offer a range of short three-month courses in various aspects of the music industry, covering music instruments, music production, songwriting, vocal training, and video production. These courses provide a foundation for aspiring musicians and artists to kickstart their careers.
Looking forward, we are working diligently to expand our offerings and secure registration status from the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET). Our commitment is to become a dynamic and world-class training center, producing skilled professionals in music production, technology, and multimedia. Triple J Sound and Music College is dedicated to empowering Tanzanian youth by equipping them with the skills to succeed in the global music and multimedia industry.
